In 1986, Lucy finished high school at Stuyvesant and went to New York University, but moved one year later to the University of Michigan with a degree in Asian Languages and Cultures, while also studying the performance arts. A fearless athlete, she practices martial arts (the Indonesian form Kali-Eskrima-silat) rock climbing, skiing and horseback riding. In her quieter moments she enjoys playing the accordion.
